Lindsey deRutte, ACSW

Associate Clinical Social Worker

Lindsey deRutte is an Associate Clinical Social Worker dedicated to supporting children,
adolescents, adults, and families. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Sonoma
State University and her Master of Social Work from Boise State University.
Lindsey practices with cultural humility, honoring the unique backgrounds, identities, and lived
experiences of each client. She is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment
where individuals feel safe, respected, and empowered in their therapeutic journey.
Her clinical experience spans a range of settings, including residential treatment programs,
schools, intimate partner violence services, and crisis response. Lindsey works collaboratively
with clients to navigate complex trauma histories and co-occurring mental health challenges,
including anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, schizophrenia spectrum
disorders, personality disorders, substance use, and learning differences. She believes that
meaningful growth and healing are rooted in trust, collaboration, and the development of
practical, sustainable skills.
Lindsey’s therapeutic approach is strengths-based and client-centered, integrating evidence-
based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment
Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She is trained in Trauma-
Focused CBT, has completed the YWCA 40-Hour Domestic Violence Training, and is a Certified
Rape Counselor. She is currently working toward meeting the qualifications for the Association
of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) guidelines for court-involved therapy.
Outside of her professional work, Lindsey enjoys reading, hiking, and gardening. She values
time with family, friends, and animals, and believes that connection, balance, and community
are essential to overall well-being.
