Alisse Galde, Trainee

Supervised Visitation Monitor

Alisse Galde brings a rich, multidisciplinary background to her work in mental health
and wellness. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Sonoma State
University, holds a Substance Abuse Counselor Certificate from the University of the
Pacific, and is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. She is
currently completing her Master of Social Work degree at Arizona State University. Most
recently, Alisse has been gaining hands-on clinical experience as a Mental Health
Support Specialist Student Intern with Keystone Therapy & Training at Guerneville
School.
Alisse’s clinical approach centers on somatic healing and the mind-body connection.
She integrates movement, breathwork, and mindfulness practices to help clients
manage stress and anxiety, grounded in the belief that meaningful healing occurs when
individuals learn to inhabit their bodies with presence and intention. Her experience
includes adult addiction treatment as well as school-based counseling with children
ages 5–12. She embraces the opportunity to work with diverse populations and looks
forward to continuing to expand the range of individuals she serves throughout her
career.
Her path into mental health work evolved naturally from her years as a yoga instructor,
where she observed that guiding people into embodied awareness often brought
forward emotions that required skilled and compassionate support. That realization
became her professional calling. Today, Alisse’s goal is to equip clients with practical,
sustainable tools — including mindfulness practices, active release techniques, and
breathwork — so they feel empowered in their own healing journeys. She considers it a
true measure of success when clients grow beyond their need for her support.
Clients can expect warm, responsive, and well-organized communication from Alisse,
along with consistent openness and care, regardless of the challenges they may be
navigating. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys traveling and leading yoga retreats
that bring together her two greatest passions: movement and healing.
