Parent Coordination offers numerous advantages for families experiencing high-conflict situations, including:
• Timely Conflict Resolution: Quick intervention helps prevent minor disputes from escalating.
• Consistent Parenting: Promotes adherence to parenting plans and reduces missed visits or disputes.
• Reduced Stress: Provides a structured outlet for concerns, reducing emotional strain on parents and children.

Our Parent Coordination process is designed to be clear, supportive, and flexible:
• Initial Assessment: The Parent Coordinator reviews court documents, parenting plans, and family history to understand the conflict and family dynamics.
• Orientation: Parents meet individually and jointly with the Coordinator to discuss the role, expectations, and goals of Parent Coordination.
• Ongoing Meetings: The Coordinator holds regular meetings with the parents, either together or separately, to address new or ongoing issues as they arise. The focus is on effective communication, conflict management, and making child-centered decisions.
• Decision-Making Assistance: While Parent Coordinators do not have legal authority to change court orders, they help parents negotiate practical solutions and, when necessary, provide recommendations to the court within their scope.
• Documentation and Reporting: The Coordinator documents all meetings and agreements and provides regular updates to courts or attorneys as authorized. This transparency supports accountability and compliance.

• Assisting in timely resolution of disputes related to daily parenting issues such as visitation schedules, schooling, extracurricular activities, healthcare decisions, and holidays
• Ensuring compliance with court orders and parenting plans
• Offering practical strategies to manage conflict and prevent escalation
• Supporting parents in prioritizing their children’s best interests
Counseling can be short-term, long-term, or somewhere in between! There is no pre-determined amount of time. It completely depends on what is right for you.
Engaging in counseling is a personal decision. There is no “checklist”. If you feel like you may benefit from talking to a trained, non-judgmental listener in a safe space, counseling will likely be helpful.
Typically, you will meet with your counselor once a week, for 45 minutes. However, we assess each situation on an induvial basis.
