Melissa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience supporting individuals and families across a wide range of ages and backgrounds. She has worked closely with families navigating the foster care and adoption system, divorce and co-parenting challenges, as well as with adults with developmental disabilities through the Regional Center system.
Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Human Services from Liberty University, as well as a Master of Social Work from Arizona State University. Melissa has received additional training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which allows her to help children and teens process traumatic experiences that impact their ability to thrive at home and in school. She has also completed a 36-hour training to meet the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) guidelines for Court-Involved Therapy.
When Melissa is not working, she enjoys visiting family in New York, sharing meals with friends, and relaxing on the beach with a good book.
